Kim Dong-hyun’s Solo Track “MORE”
In this special album, 5NALLY, all 5 AB6IX members got a chance to showcase their talent and skills through a solo release. Not only they performed their own solo songs, but each member also took part in composing and writing the solo track for this album. The first solo track that opens up this album belongs to the main vocalist, Jeon-woong, who sings an R&B style song titled “Moondance”. Shortly after, Kim Dong-hyun followed the track with an R&B pop genre track titled “More”. Kim Dong-hyun’s track is the second track in this 5-song album. “More” is a pop R&B song about wanting to breathe slowly while spending time with loved ones because time seems to run so fast. The hook includes the lyrics “more more more” that describes the singer’s desire to be with the girl more and more: The second part of the hook contains the sound of the clock seconds that appears at the beginning and end of the song and corresponds to the rest of the lyrics: More more more more I wanna breathe very slowly So I can see you for a long time “More” (더 더) is “a general mid-tempo K-Pop song that showcased current trends instead of Dong-hyun’s personal artistry. Things You Should Know About Kim Dong-hyun
Apart from vocalists, rappers, and dancers, every group must have a main visual. The main visual is the member who is considered the most charming among the other members. The main visual usually becomes the one that attracts the non-fan attention to the group. Speaking of AB6IX’s main visual, Dong-hyun is surely doing a good job of attracting and keeping fans’ attention on him. Not only looks, Dong-hyun, who is the main vocalist, is able to play musical instruments and compose songs. Dong-hyun’s career trajectory is quite long. He first appeared in the second season of Mnet’s survival television show, Produce 101, along with other four trainees from his agency, Brand New Music in 2017. Sadly, in episode 10, he was eliminated from the show and ranked 28th. Then, a few months after his elimination, he debuted as a member of a duo called MXM with fellow Produce 101 Season 2’s eliminated trainee Lim Young-min, on September 6th, 2017, with the mini-album Unmix, and the title track “I’m The One”. He then again debuted in Starship Entertainment and Brand New Music’s project boy group called YDPP consisting of the original MXM members and two Starship’s trainees, Jeong Se-woon and Lee Kwang-hyun. They released the digital single “Love It Live It” on April 5th, 2018. After several debuts and re-debuts, Dong-hyun finally became a member of Brand New Music’s boy group AB6IX (which stands for ABSOLUTE or ABOVE BRANDNEW), along with four Produce 101 trainees and another Brand New Music trainee, Jeon-woong, Dong-hyun, Woojin, and Daehwi, and Youngmin. Kim Dong-hyun Singing BTS’ “I Like It”
Aside from having a stunning visual, Dong-hyun is also known to have a great vocal, that’s why he filled the position of AB6IX’s lead vocalist. He even proved his singing skills when he sang BTS’s song “I Like It” in the first episode of Olleh tv mobile/Seezn’s Tympanic Mate.
