Wu can speak four languages: Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese), English, and Korean. In August 2019, during the 2019–20 Hong Kong protests, Wu shared photos of the Chinese flag accompanied by the hashtags “the Chinese national flag has 1.4 billion flag bearers” and “I am a flag bearer” on his official Weibo account. Kris Wu was born as Li Jiaheng on November 6, 1990 in Guangzhou, China. He studied at Guangzhou No. 7 Middle School for a short duration. Later he moved to Vancouver where he was enrolled at the Point Grey Secondary School. He also studied at the Sir Winston Churchill Secondary School. Wu, who is a great philanthropist, is associated with Heart Ali, a charity project that aims at helping kids suffering from congenital heart defects in Tibet’s Ngari Prefecture. In 2016, the actor cum singer also launched his own charity project under the name Extraordinary Honorary Court.
